The Cranford Family: January 2012

I walked into the bathroom and actually looked at our counter and just busted out laughing ... its still making me giggle ... how many people live in our house??! Time to throw some toothbrushes away - ha ha!

Happy 5th Birthday Aidan! He chose to have a "parachute guy" party. If you look close you can see the airplane hanging from our kitchen light and the parachute guys that jumped out of the plane are hanging from the ceiling in between the balloons/clouds.

They are excited because we finally agreed to let Aidan open his presents from his siblings the night before the party. It was adorable how anxious and excited Madison and Caleb were for Aidan to love his presents they picked out. After Caleb picked his present out (which took longer than anticipated) at the store he was walking back to the van with Dan and he said "I still don't know if Aidan is going to love his present" and Dan reassured him of course - so cute!

Here's the party gang chowing down on some pizza, chips, fruit, veggies and of course cake. Not a surprise Aidan picked pizza - one of his two favorite foods (the other being strawberries).

One of our games - pin the parachute guy on the airplane. They were so sneaky ... the only party where every single kid got it stuck in exactly the right spot! They all stayed blind folded - they just felt with their free hand for the little bump where I taped the original parachuter so they knew where to stick theirs. Needless to say we didn't end up giving out a prize for that game - I only had one prize not twelve!

We thought all the birthday fun was over until a HUGE package arrived ... Bama sent everyone's gift in the mail - since unfortunately she wasn't able to make the drive because of a snowstorm in Canada. Aidan was really disappointed that she couldn't come but when he saw that big box he totally forgave her - ha ha!

This may be a coincidence but look at Caleb's look ... "why do you get all the presents?!" :)

We made Aidan's gift from Aunt Marnie and Uncle Tim and it was pretty gross! Aidan wouldn't even touch it never mind eat it! We did convince Daddy to take a bite when he got home from work - poor Daddy!

Our road trip to Alabama ... 13.5 hours on the road. The kids were beyond good which made the trip a breeze well as much as that long a ride can be a breeze.

There they are watching dvd's, playing, reading, singing, listening to books on cd - oh what fun :)

Yes Hobbsy made the trip too - he's a great traveller. Not much room to move but he likes to sleep anyway and just loves being with us.

It rained our first day but the weather was so much warmer than Michigan that the kids could care less - they had a blast playing in a down pour and all the mud that came with it! Good thing we remembered rain boots instead of snow boots!

Outside at Spencer's house (as the kids call it) - Keith & Kathy's house. They got so much fresh air it was great! They basically came in when the sun began to set - awesome!
