Here they are making Mom's infamous caramel corn balls - a Halloween must! They were delicious!
Aidan's holding the vanilla - what a great helper!
Waiting for the popcorn to pop
Halloween was very busy this year - the kids ended up dressing up a total of five times! Dan has put his foot down and we are only doing two events next year! I'm not even sure they understand what trick or treating is exactly because we did so many different things :). It started with Zoo Boo (trick or treating at the zoo), then the Mall trail of treats, then our moms group Halloween party (with bobbing for apples, a hay ride, a pinata and other games), then dress up story time at the library, and then actual Halloween (and we skipped some events if you can believe it)! The weather was great for all of our events and we all had an awesome time! The kids were great with their manners and oh so very cute! Our kangaroo - oh so cute! In his words "bop bop bop"!
The popcorn is popping and kernels are flying everywhere - hence mom covering up Maddie's face with the oven mitt :).
The popcorn is popping and kernels are flying everywhere - hence mom covering up Maddie's face with the oven mitt :).Although Madison was great with her manners she was very particular as to what she would "allow" in her trick or treating container - chocolate only! Whenever she was given anything else - pencils, licorice, hard candy, tattoos etc. - she would either slip it into Aidan's container or promptly hand it over to Dan or I. It was actually quite amusing :). Aidan on the other hand was accepting everything and hung on to his container for dear life ... no one was getting his goodies!
